Looking for a Strong Travel Agent to join the AAA Team in the Downtown Cincinnati AAA Office.

To greet and provide exceptional member and client experiences by effectively representing AAA products and services, in a manner that will build repeat business and generate sales. AAA products and services include, but are not limited to, Automotive, Banking/Financial Services, Discounts, Insurance, Membership and Travel. Assists team to exceed Customer Satisfaction and Quality scores, while meeting established productivity goals.

Essential Functions – Level I: 95%

Learn and use established sales and service techniques to improve member/client retention, to meet or exceed quality standard scores, and to meet established productivity goals.

Assist members and clients in planning both domestic and international travel such as car rentals, hotel reservations, cruises and vacation packages by recommending and selling various travel products with a concentration on Preferred Partner products. Limited exposure to international destinations is expected. Invoices, processes payments and ensures proper travel documentation. Utilizes Travel Agent Sales Specialist (TASS) as appropriate. Complies with all ARC regulations and AAA Club Alliance policies and procedures in the collection and handling of assets.

Meets and exceeds established Quality and Sales goals as established on the Scorecard and Annual Appraisal documents.

Efficiently operates Applicable automated airline reservation and ticketing system, all vendor booking sites and utilizes available on-line and published reference materials to effectively accommodate Agency clients.

Counsel and sell Financial Services products.

With assistance, satisfactorily handle refunds and complaints to resolution.

Other Duties and Responsibilities – Level I 5%:

Ensure compliance with maintenance of travel files, retention policies and PCI compliance.

Attend promotional events, training and familiarization trips as required.

Stock and inventory branch materials as required.

Process passport photos and issue International/Inter-American Driver Licenses.

Other duties as assigned.

*REQUIREMENTS:*

Ability to respond to customer inquiries and interact with individuals at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school degree and at least one (1) years of retail experience or previous experience as a AAA Sales Associate. Graduate of an accredited travel school is preferred.

Effective communication skills, written and oral, to allow accurate completion of work.

Working knowledge of personal computer, Windows based applications and competent keyboarding skills to accurately and efficiently complete daily work assignments.

Proficient using the Internet, AAA Intranet, Travel booking sites, airline reservation system and other applicable legacy and web-based PC applications used to process work and service Member requests.

Proficient, working knowledge of geography and the ability to use manual (paper) or PC based maps as needed to assist members.

Completion of all AAA Travel Agent training via AAA-University and class attendance is required.

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – Level II 95%:*

Meets all Essential Functions of Level I.

Assist members and clients in planning both domestic and international travel such as car rentals, hotel reservations, cruises, vacation packages and independent travel (FIT) by recommending and selling various travel products with a concentration on Preferred Partner products. Invoices, processes payments and ensures proper travel documentation. Utilizes Travel Agent Sales Specialist (TASS) as appropriate. Complies with all ARC regulations and AAA Club Alliance policies and procedures in the collection and handling of assets.

Provide motivation, support and assistance to associates as necessary. Assist in the training of associates as needed. May assist associates with more complex customer issues or inquiries and efficiently processes refunds and ensures the resolution of complaints keeping the Retail Manager apprised of all issues.

Ability to respond to customer inquiries and interact with individuals at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school degree and at least two (2) years’ experience as a retail/leisure travel agent.

Certified Travel Associate (CTA) required within 2 years of job acceptance.

Other Duties and Responsibilities – Level II 5%:

Ensure compliance with maintenance of travel files, retention policies and PCI compliance.

Attend promotional events, training and familiarization trips as required.

Stock and inventory branch materials as required.

Process passport photos and issue International/Inter-American Driver Licenses.

Other duties as assigned.

Ability to work mandatory overtime as necessitated by business needs and staffing levels. Must be flexible and able to adapt to varying work schedules. (Full-time work week is a minimum of 37.5 scheduled hours)

  • A competitive base salary of $14.00 - $15.00 and a monthly commission/incentive plan.
