Operations Analyst

As the Operations Analyst, you will work across multiple facilities in the US, Canada and Mexico working with the plant and warehouse teams to drive completion of projects and analysis that will have a direct impact on the overall business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work on operations accounting, financial reporting, financial control, and information systems to ensure adequate records, appropriate authorizations of transactions, and safeguard assets.

  • Work to complete financial closing & reporting with timeliness and accuracy. Work with the operations accounting, monthly/ quarterly close procedures and reporting process.

  • Work to complete account reconciliations and B/S analysis, to ensure the compliance and the integrity of the accounts.

  • Work with management to review and establish internal controls.

  • Compare actual results with projected and/or established guidelines and compare actual results to standards.

  • Perform analytical review of financial statements to ensure their integrity.

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.

  • Assist in the preparation of year end audit work papers for external auditor.

  • Assist in the setting of standard costs and prepare detailed link between standards and actual performance.

  • Work on analytical projects directly related to the operational portion of the business.

  • Work on multiple operationally focused projects.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

  • MBA, CPA preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Controllership and / or Audit

  • Strong technical accounting and analytical skills

  • Strong communicator: able to work effectively internally and externally with different levels of leadership. Deliver clear, concise messages both verbally and in writing.

  • Self-motivated and able to operate effectively in a team environment

  • Strong knowledge & understanding of the finance systems and processes

  • Ability to build relationships, trust, and interface effectively across multiple organizations and businesses

  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
