U.S. Bank Integration Team Project Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio

Reporting to US Bank’s Director of Business Integration, the Integration Project Manager is responsible for planning and executing post-merger integration activities and related projects. Actively works with all business lines and corporate functions to ensure integration programs meet specified financial, regulatory, and contractual targets and requirements. Typically works with senior managers to formulate integration project scope. Integration projects are very complex with considerable difficulty, often are time sensitive, and require six months or more to complete. At times, the integration manager will provide direction to both internal and external resources to ensure successful and timely completion of integration tasks. An integration project manager has comprehensive, to expert, knowledge of banking or financial businesses. Incumbent is recognized as an expert in project management and typically has a Master’s degree and seven or more years of related experience.


  1. Interview business owners to identify and analyze needs.

  2. Extract critical requirements from typical M&A transaction documents.

  3. Formulate strategies to meet stakeholder needs and requirements.

  4. Identify internal and/or external resources to ensure successful project completion.

  5. Direct and monitor integration project activity by outlining project goals, gaining consensus on project steps, scheduling tasks, implementing procedures, estimating project costs, and fostering cooperation from team members.

  6. Prepare project status reports, make alterations in project plan as needed, and evaluate overall performance.

  7. Develop and deliver consistent integration project and project portfolio information to stakeholders.

  8. Participate in project and project portfolio evaluations and provide continuing support to other integration managers as required.

  9. Effectively communicate integration activities across all areas of finance and accounting, ensuring the integrity of financial controls and regulatory reporting.

  10. Assist in improving and maintaining corporate integration program policies, methodologies, tools, and techniques.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Eight to ten years of experience in project management and leadership activities

  • Considerable knowledge of assigned business line or functional area

  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Advanced knowledge of project management

  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
